The text Daniel had gotten from Davin had been unexpected to say the least. James had told him that Davin was mad as hell about Daniels little sleuthing session and given him a hefty punch in the arm for his troubles, but he'd also told him that his heart was in the right place so Daniel figured he was at least square with his brother. He didn't expect Davin to speak to him ever again, quite frankly.

He looked at his phone again. "Lunch at Quill tomorrow at one?" Daniel had replied in the affirmative but now he was nervous.

He sat fiddling with his napkin and watching the clock.

Daniel stood outside the garage and looked it over. So this was what his brothers boyfriend did for a living. Huh.

He shifted from foot to foot and wondered if ten minutes was too long to be standing outside or if he was only in creeper territory after twenty. He was going to have to go in or risk looking like some weirdo. And he was a Thornton. He got enough of that already.

It was that thought that finally spurred him into crossing the road and pushing open the door to the little office/waiting room. There was a guy he didn't recognise behind the counter and he raised an eyebrow as Daniel approached.

"I'm looking for Davin. Is he around?" The guy didn't look inclined to answer so Daniel clear his throat. "He, uh, knows my brother. I'm Daniel Thornton." That seemed to shift the man and he turned in his seat to open the door to the workshop area.

"Davin! Your boyfriends brothers here after I watched him spend ten minutes across the street working up the nerve!" He shouted.

Well this was going to go well.
